Today was a different start – we had a breakfast in the Hostal foyer – Barry sardinas y tostadas y aceite (sardines on toast with olive oil) – Jules Cafe con leche (Coffee with milk)
And Barry sent his haversack on to our destination for the day – in order to give the knee a chance to recover – it is the right knee – the same leg that suffered traumatic break and compound fracture in 1975 – the knee does get triggered under stress. Watched a YouTube instruction clip on inner knee pain reduction using KT Tape (Yay can start using it up )

The route at times is alongside the tar roads

Different packs – what a difference …
Some other sights along the way …

At last we arrived at our Alberque

And then the priorities – food before the cafe closes, shower & wash ourselves, wash & hang up clothes, refill water in haversacks, pack again, rest a while, walk around village , take pics of village , eat some more, blog/ Instagram/ polar steps/ WhatsApp – then plan tomorrow destination and accommodation options
here are some pics of part of the process….
Great pics and commentary, Barry!
Interesting to hear your prep routine …
We hope your knee is OK – good idea to lighten the load on it.
