We did a test walk from Sarria to Santiago with friends in 2017 and carried day packs and had our heavy bags transported – this was challenging enough and it provided an ideal platform to understand just what this pilgrimage was about.
A friend , Mike, had walked a number of Camino routes – over cup of tea he shared some insights about what to take and which route to try out that was different to our first taste on Camino Frances.
