A shorter day 16km on the map
Apple Watch says I have walked a total of 20km today
Pueblo de Sanabria is on of the biodiversity capitals of Europe
The river system is very impressive – the water is so clean
today I developed something in my left lower shin which could be the start of shin splints I might have walked too fast – so tomorrow need to warm up and walk slower
I have sent some things on to Santiago from the correos (post office) not much but about 800g – I wasn’t using it and it was becoming a mental burden
walked through some beautiful undergrowth and forestine areas will show some pics below

Fellow Peregrinos
Sharing hardships and experiences is what brings people together
The Camino does just that – it could be fleeting moments in time or a few hours of interaction – the common bond and respect is real
This is a fellow Peregrino – Graham – who hails from Australia – he has walked many miles of pilgrimages
Graham shared this beautiful song that revolves around in his head while walking:
Nature Boy
The Lyrics are:
There was a boy
A very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far
Very far
Over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he
And then one day
A magic day he passed my way
And while we spoke of many things
Fools and kings
This he said to me
“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return”
nature boy contd

A part of nature’s beauty
The song nature boy was written by eden adhez and first performed by Nat King Cole in 1948
There are many meaningful aspects of the words but the greatest message is in the last line – The greatest thing you’ll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return.
